Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov did not see in the possible deprivation of a scientific degree of the Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky cause for systemic change. His words on Tuesday, October 3, the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
“No decisions have been made, there is a certain recommendation. But this is not a topic that concerns the administration of the President”, — said Peskov.
A Kremlin spokesman said that this issue should be dealt with by the Expert Council of the Higher attestation Commission (HAC) in history.
At the same time, Peskov suggested that any rules about removing a Minister from office in case of deprivation of a scientific degree no. “I can’t answer this question. I don’t think that somewhere in some rules spelled out some kind of linking of such matters, some kind of mutual relationship,” he said.
On 2 October, the Expert Council of VAK of the history endorsed the statement on deprivation of a scientific degree of the doctor of historical Sciences Vladimir Medinsky. The Bureau of the Commission will consider this issue on October 20.
