Nauert at a briefing earlier on Tuesday stated that the reason for the penetration of the state Department of the United States in the building of the Russian Consulate in San Francisco was the fact that the time allotted for the Russians living there, is over. She also noted that “no locks are not broke”.
In early September, at the request of the American authorities was closed by the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco and sales offices in Washington and new York. After that, the buildings were searched. Russia has described the actions of an unfriendly step and promised to go to court.
