Egypt’s population in ten years increased by 22 million people
CAIRO, Sep 30 — RIA Novosti, Nadim Zuaui. The population of Egypt — the largest Arab country, rose to 94.8 million in 2017, said in Cairo, the head of the state statistics Committee and the mobilization of Abu Bakr al-guindi on the announcement of the results of the next census.

According to the census, Egypt is still considered one of the youngest States, one in every three Egyptian (34.5 per cent) of 15 to 34 years.
In Egypt, there are significant number of illiterate citizens — more than 18%. At the same time, 12.4% of residents of Egypt have diplomas of higher education.
The Minister of planning of Egypt, the Hall of as-Sayid said that the population is support for the development of the economy, but this rapid growth leads to an imbalance. “Such growth can eat the fruits of the implementation of plans for the development of the country because of the imbalance of resources and population,” said al-Saeed.
The Egyptians inhabit only a small part of its territory — in the valley and the Nile Delta with their fertile lands. The rest of the territory still inhabited little or not used at all.
The authorities intend to implement ambitious plans on construction of new cities, including the Mediterranean and red seas, as well as a new administrative capital near Cairo.
