In Syria’s Idlib province eliminated five influential field commanders, who led the militants of the terrorist group “Jabhat EN-Nusra” (banned in Russia). This was stated by the official representative of Russian defense Ministry major General Igor Konashenkov, RIA Novosti reported.
According to him, this had involved the whole multi-level system of intelligence of the Ministry of defense in Syria.
He explained that the operation was disclosed, the date and venue of the meeting of field commanders of grouping to the South of Idlib.
Konashenkov said that the terrorists were inflicted precision missile and air strikes. Together with the commanders killed 32 militants were also destroyed near the warehouse of ammunition and explosives, six cars.
As explained by the major-General, reports of the death of the commanders of the group was confirmed in several independent channels.
