Saudi Arabia lifted the ban on women to drive cars

Saudi Arabia has canceled a decades-old ban on driving cars by women. It is reported by The New York Times.

The innovation was announced on state TV and at the same time at a press conference in Washington. It will take effect in June 2018. As the newspaper notes, the decision underlines how much damage the ban caused to the international reputation of the Kingdom.

For decades, officials gave him a different explanation. Mentioned, for example, that women driving contrary to the Saudi culture.
