Ship “Inquisitive”
Frigate “Admiral Essen” came from the permanent connection of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean sea. This was announced by the representative of the black sea fleet (BSF) Vyacheslav Trukhachev, reports on Thursday, September 21 “Interfax”.
“The newest of the black sea fleet frigate “Admiral Essen” began to move to the place of permanent deployment in Sevastopol after tasks in the composition of the permanent force of the Navy in the Mediterranean sea”, — he said. According Trukhacheva, on the basis of a planned rotation as part of the connection has replaced the patrol ship “Inquisitive”.
On 5 September the frigate “Admiral Essen” in the Mediterranean carried out launches of cruise missiles “Caliber” on the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG banned in Russia) in the region of Deir ez-Zor. The video was published on the website of the Ministry of defense of Russia. After it became known that the Syrian army broke the siege of the city, for three years was in an environment full of terrorists.
“Admiral Essen” left Sevastopol to join the Russian group of warships in the Mediterranean sea on 9 July. Already the frigate was part of this group in may-June and 31st of may together with the submarine “Krasnodar” inflicted a blow against the Islamist positions near Palmyra.
