MOSCOW, 19 Sep — RIA Novosti. The level of migrantophobia in Russia decreased from 76% in 2014 to 66% in 2016, according to the report of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation “Xenophobia, radicalism and crimes of hate in Russia to 2016”.
According to the authors of the report, it was affected by the ordering of stay in Russia, migrants are entitled to visa-free entry into the country, and the absence in 2016 resonant terrorist acts committed by Islamic radicals, and the development of information and educational practices in Russia.

However, according to the report, Russia is in fourth place among the European countries with the highest level of migrantophobia and only behind Hungary, Poland and Greece. According to surveys by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM) in 2016, 62% of Russians consider that migrants steal their jobs, and 64% believe that migrants increase crime rates in Russia, the report said.
