The US Senate banned the use of Kaspersky anti-virus

The U.S. Senate voted to ban the use of products “Kaspersky Lab” the American government institutions. On it informs Agency Reuters.

This amendment was included in the defense budget for the 2018 fiscal year. Voted for by 89 senators, eight opposed. Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen, one of the authors of the amendment, said that the rejection of the products “Kaspersky cleans the actual vulnerability of our national security.”

This bill prohibits the use of “Kaspersky Lab” in the civil and military authorities. September 13, U.S. DHS called on all civil institutions in the country for 90 days to remove any products of the Kaspersky, but the power structure beyond the control of the Directive.

In late June, agents of the Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI) visited at least 10 employees of “Kaspersky Lab” living in the United States. Then in the secret service noted that they have no claims to the employees of the antivirus company and was trying to figure out what information it can pass to Russia.

“Kaspersky lab” has rejected accusations the U.S. DHS in cyber espionage and aggressive activities in cyberspace. “We are disappointed that a private company may be considered guilty without evidence, under the pressure of current geopolitical situation”, — reported in a press-service of the company.
