The head of the Polish military Department stated that the invitation to the teachings of the Polish observers does not diminish the concerns of Warsaw.
“The amount of training troops is much higher than 100 thousand, it is not 12.7 thousand, according to the Belarusian side,” — said Macierewicz.
Earlier, the defense Ministry denied the statement of Germany about the alleged 100 thousand Russian military involved in the exercises “West-2017”.
At the same time, commander of the U.S. air force in Europe and Africa Todd Walters said that in the process of preparation of Russia for the military exercises “Zapad-2017” there is nothing extraordinary, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg admitted that he sees from the Russian-Belarusian exercises a direct threat.
