Medina has officially asked the interior Ministry to ensure the safety of the show “Matilda”
Moscow. September 13. INTERFAX.RU Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky sent a letter to the interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev with a request to ensure security and prevent possible illegal actions on the screening of the film “Matilda”.

Previously Medina asked law enforcement agencies to stop the pressure from the opponents of the movie “Matilda”, noting that they set a dangerous precedent.
“I ask the leadership of law enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with the law, strictly prevent pressure on the state and film business from the uncontrolled “activists” with their socially dangerous methods of imposing their beliefs. Please give a principled and fair assessment of their actions”, — cited the words of Minister of culture of the reporters in the press service of the Ministry.
Medinsky has noticed that the Agency is “to the last” tried to refrain from intervening in the scandal surrounding the film.
“But recent events are forcing to speak with certainty. Don’t know what considerations guided by Madam Polonskaya, undertaking and supporting this hubbub. Maybe from a pure heart. Moreover, I am not ready to unravel the motivations of different-sized “activists” — mongers arrogantly call themselves “Orthodox”,” — said the Minister.
Speak to the head of Medina decided after the failure of the United network “Sinema Park” and “Formula Kino” from the film “Matilda” due to threats to cinemas.
