Dubai will build a “floating city”, which is based on the Italian city of Venice. The project will be located on the Islands of The World Islands just 4 km from the coast of the Emirate.

Visitors will be able to get there by sea or air transport and to register for the “St. Mark’s square” (the square with the same name is located in Venice) under water. Guests will then be the channels to transport at places to stay in and imported from Italy gondolas. According to the publication Arabian Business, the project cost is estimated at $ 680 million.
In addition to hotels and other places to stay, Dubai “Venice” will be located the site for the traditional Italian festivals, cultural exhibitions and events. Around the project called the Floating Venice will be grown 400 thousand square feet of sea corals and is located 12 floating beaches. According to the developer, the project will run for at least 100 years of service. It will open to visitors in 2020.
