The state Duma will consider the bill on the deprivation of driving license for content in blood 0,3 promille alcohol
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ordered to submit to the state Duma a draft law on deprivation of the rights of drivers in the blood which was discovered more than 0.3 grams of alcohol per litre (0.3 ppm). The corresponding document was published on the government website.
“It is necessary for the elimination of identified legal gaps in legislation in the field of ensuring road traffic safety”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
This bill does not negate the previously established threshold determining the fact of drinking driving, the document says. At the moment it is 0.16 mg per liter of exhaled air (about 0.3 ppm of alcohol in the blood).
