Kiev renamed ATO operation on defence of Ukraine
Kiev renamed ATO — anti-terrorist operation of the Ukrainian authorities called the fighting in the Donbas — operation on defence of Ukraine.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister for refugee Affairs Yury Grymchak on Tuesday, September 5, in an interview with “Radio Liberty”.
He also noted that the term “war” used in the documents will not.
In June it became known that in Kiev, a draft bill to change the legal status of hostilities in the South-East of Ukraine and the return of control over the region. Earlier in the same month it was reported about intention of the administration of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to introduce in the region is the regime of anti-terrorist operation the military situation.
