The Dutchman broke the world record for solving Rubik’s cube (but it is still five times slower robot)

Dutch speedcuber mats Valk broke the world speed record for a build of the classic Rubik’s cube.

In the championship, Jawa Timur Open 2016 in Indonesia Valk was able to solve the cube in 4,74 seconds by 0,164 seconds faster than the winner of the last world record, American Lukas Etter.

Mats Valk has already set a world record in 2013 — then he managed to assemble the Rubik’s cube in 5.55 seconds. But even today his achievement pales compared to how quickly collecting machine cube. In January 2016 the robot Sub1 put your record — 0,887 seconds.
