Everyone living in Russia is Russian. Russian Tatar, Russian Chechen, Russian Yakut. It does not matter how to call it: the civil nation, the Russian nation, national nation. It’s just a Russian and all. Other terms are not needed.
You’d ask me, but you, Russian, are not worried that they — Russian Tatars, Russians, Chechen, Russian Yakuts. And you’re just Russian. Russian nobody.
And I answer: no, I’m not worried. Russia is my country. I — Russian. What I worry about? If someone in Russia wants to not live the way I live — but for God’s sake. Importantly, he didn’t make me to live as I want. And we will not be the slightest contradiction. Because we are both Russian, we both live in Russia, and everything else — that’s how someone wants.
Notice the difference between the word “Russian” from the word “Tartar”, “Chechen” or “Yakut”. Russian is an adjective. It is attached. Russians gathered in his country, a huge number of different cultures and shared with them their sovereignty. Now each of these cultures was the Russian, still a Tatar, Chechen or Yakut.
