Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding for contribution to strengthening of unity of the Russian nation to the Chairman of the state Council of Dagestan Magomedali Magomedov. This was reported on the official Kremlin website on Thursday, November 3.
The award was established in April by presidential decree, the payment to the holders is 2.5 million rubles. The award is given as the highest recognition of merit “to society and the state” citizens who are working “to strengthen the unity of the Russian nation”.
The decree on awarding was signed for the first time.
In late October, Putin supported the idea to develop a law on the Russian nation. The head of state suggested that the basis for law can be a strategy for the development of national relations in Russia.
In the state Duma, in turn, noted that, according to the procedure, such a law can be drafted and adopted within about a year, but did not rule out more rapid promotion initiatives.
