In the Greek defense Ministry said they would not accept the pressure on Athens on the issue of relations with Russia, RIA Novosti reported citing a source in the Department. According to him, the Greek government is not planning to consult with anyone about the cooperation with Russia in the sea and will conduct a sovereign policy in this area.
“With the Russian Navy all will go very well, they will be moored, they will normally be supplied in Greece. The supply will be in accordance with the rules. And, of course, is unacceptable no pressure, so we do not give fuel to Russian ships,” – noted in the defense Ministry.
Earlier it became known that us President Barack Obama during his visit to Greece raised the issue of banning the entry of Russian ships in Greek ports. However, according to a source in the Greek Ministry of defence, he’s not pressuring the authorities, and the question was simply closed.
