Sarkozy conceded defeat in the primaries in France
Moscow. 21 Nov. INTERFAX.RU Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy conceded defeat on the last Sunday of the primaries of the right and centrists, according to BFM TV. He said this, speaking at his campaign headquarters in Paris.
Sarkozy also said that in the second round of primaries will support the candidacy of françois Fillon.

The French socialists have already expressed their joy over the defeat of Sarkozy, member of the National Assembly of France Christophe Castaner posted in his Twitter archive photo of the former President, providing it with an ironic comment: “This evening, Sarkozy visited your new office.”
Thus Castaner hinted at a criminal case on illegal financing of election campaign of Sarkozy, which he remembered during the primaries.

The purpose of the last Sunday in the election to determine candidate for the French presidency from the center-right. In the first round of primaries was attended by six candidates from “Republican” and one from the Christian democratic party.
The candidate who will win in the second round on 27 November, will confront the leader of “National front” marine Le Pen. The ruling socialist party of France is now weak and has serious chances of success.
Presidential elections will be held in the spring of 2017.
