Ulyukayev called his detention a provocation
The Minister of economic not guilty of accepting a bribe in the amount of $2 million.
Moscow. 15 Nov. INTERFAX.RU — the Minister of economic development Alexey Ulyukaev, on the eve of the detainee on suspicion in receiving a bribe is not guilty and considers what happened to him provocation.
“Alexey Valentinovich has not pleaded guilty. Believes that is what happened yesterday at office “Rosneft”, it is a provocation against the state official”, — said advocative Gridnev in an interview with Business FM.

In the night of Tuesday, Russia’s Investigative Committee announced the criminal case against the speaker under part 6 of article 290 of the RF criminal code (receiving a bribe in especially large size). The report said that “the circumstances of the crime connected with obtaining public office of the Russian Federation Ulyukaev November 14, 2016 $2 million for the Ministry of economic development issued a positive evaluation, which allowed PJSC “NC “Rosneft” to carry out the acquisition of a state block of shares of JSC “Bashneft” 50%”.
According to TFR, the Minister arrested. He was charged under part 6 of article 290 of the criminal code (receiving a bribe by a person holding a state post of the Russian Federation, with extortion of a bribe in especially large size).
A source familiar with the situation told Interfax that $2 million, which are imputed Ulyukayev as a bribe, were transferred to him on 14 November under the supervision of law enforcement officers. According to him, the Minister’s phone was tapped in the summer, in conversation he threatened the representatives of “Rosneft” in connection with the privatization of “Bashneft”. “During the arrest the speaker was trying to get patrons, but in vain,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
Originally Ulyukayev called Rosneft participation in privatization is impractical, as the company controlled by the government through Rosneftegaz. However, in early September, the Minister said that legally “Rosneft” can qualify for “Bashneft” — the law on privatization permits. As a result, in October, Rosneft acquired the controlling stake of “Bashneft” for 329,7 billion — a premium to the independent valuation of that asset.
Reaction to the detention
Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin was aware from the beginning of rapid development Ulyukayev. “This is a very serious accusation that requires very serious evidence. In any case, to decide anything only the court can”, — said the press Secretary of the head of state.

Meanwhile in a press-service “Rosneft” have informed “Interfax” that the stake in Bashneft was acquired by Rosneft in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation on the basis of the best commercial offers made to the Bank operator. They added that the company does not comment on actions of the Investigative Committee of the company.
Press Secretary of “Rosneft” Mikhail Leontyev said to “Interfax” that “the transaction on purchase of “Bashneft” sberkarta, and it threatens nothing”.
