Prime Minister of Bulgaria resigned
MOSCOW, 14 Nov — RIA Novosti. Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov has filed a formal petition for his resignation and the resignation of the entire Cabinet after the electoral defeat of the candidate from the ruling GERB party Cecchi Tsacheva.
Nominated by an initiative Committee, headed by the socialist party, “BSP”, General rumen Radev lead in the second round of the presidential elections in Bulgaria. The opposition candidate is gaining Radev, according to the latest data of the CEC, more than 59% of the vote.
“Prime Minister Boyko Borisov submitted the resignation of the government in the national Assembly,” reads the statement on the website of the Cabinet.
According to the Agency Novinite, the vote in Parliament on the resignation of the Prime Minister is expected on Tuesday.
Earlier Borisov said that if the candidate from the ruling party “Citizens for European development of Bulgaria” (coat of ARMS) Tsetska Tsacheva will not win the presidential election, he and the whole government resigns.
