Hurricane “Ophelia”: the victims, the flood and the crimson sun over England
The victims of the hurricane “Ophelia”, which reached the British Isles already were three people; hundreds of thousands of homes without power, in England, declared the threat of flooding. At the same time the inhabitants of the country witnessed an impressive phenomenon: red-red sun shining through a thick haze.

The British Isles were hit by tropical storm “Ophelia”. His victims were already at least three people.
The wind speed on the southern coast of Ireland reaches 176 km/h. Authorities have declared weather phenomena hazardous to life.

The storm 360 thousand houses in the Republic of Ireland was de-energized. In Northern Ireland remained without electricity for 1,300 homes in Wales — four thousand.

In Northern Ireland as in the Republic of Ireland, because of bad weather canceled classes in schools. The airports of Edinburgh, Manchester, Belfast and Dublin are fully or partially canceled flights. No flights to the Isle of man.

In different parts of England, the weather service issued a warning about the impending floods. Introduced elevated levels of risk.
In addition, the hurricane “Ophelia,” has provoked unusual weather phenomena — red moon and red sun.
The first unusual atmospheric effect was noticed by the inhabitants of England and Wales on the night of 16 Oct. Day similar anomaly can be observed in London, where the sky was covered with thick reddish haze, which in the middle of the day in the city went dark, as in deep dusk.
As explained by Simon king from the weather service bi-Bi-si, the cause of the abnormal phenomena — dust from the Sahara and particles of ash that the British Isles has brought a hurricane, passing through the Iberian Peninsula, where the burning of the forest.
