The President of the United States Donald trump during his speech at the White house said that Iran is providing assistance to a number of terrorist groups, reports TASS.
“Iran remains the chief state sponsor of terrorism. He continues to support al-Qaida, the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas and other groups. Iranians develop, establish and spread missiles that threaten U.S. military and U.S. allies. They are harassing American ships and threatening the freedom of Maritime navigation in the Persian Gulf and the Red sea,” said trump.
Also, the U.S. President said that the Iranians detained American citizens “on trumped-up charges” and carry out cyber attacks on the critical infrastructure of the United States, the financial system and the country’s armed forces.
Previously, trump has announced its willingness to reconsider nuclear deal with Tehran. According to him, Iran does not comply with the requirements of the contract, he will receive appropriate representation in Congress. In addition, the American leader announced sanctions against several high-ranking officers of the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps (IRGC), as well as concerning restrictive measures in respect of a number of related organizations.
