US policy towards Russia will not affect plans for Riyadh to cooperate with Moscow, including in the areas of investment. On Sunday, October 8, TASS said the foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Adel al-Jubeir.
“Our task is to develop relations with Russia on the whole spectrum. Sanctions between Russia and the West affect Russia and the West”, — he said, answering a question about how a partnership with the city is correlated with the partnership of Saudi Arabia with the United States.
Al-Jubeir has expressed the hope that the issue of economic constraints will ever be solved. “Our relations with the US are at the level of strategic partnership, but we also want to improve relations with Russia, because good relations with Russia and with the United States and China will benefit our country, the middle East region and the world,” he said.
The king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud arrived in Moscow on an official visit on 4 October, and the next day met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following the meeting, the two leaders signed several treaties and cooperation agreements.
