US ready to impose sanctions against the FSB, SVR and GRU, told the NYT
WASHINGTON, Oct 27 — RIA Novosti. A list of organizations in relation to which a possible new U.S. sanctions, includes the FSB, SVR, GRU, said the New York Times, citing a document sent by the state Department to Congress.
Also in the list of 33 companies, group and organizations, including Rosoboronexport, Izhmash, Kalashnikov, rostec, MIG, Sukhoi, Tupolev.
U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson earlier approved the list of individuals and entities associated with the Russian intelligence and the military-industrial complex, against which can be sanctioned in accordance with American law. The document is closed, its contents were not published.
The US President Donald trump on 2 August signed a congressional bill on new sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea. The document in particular provided that by 1 October the us administration will have to provide a list of individuals and organizations in the defense and intelligence sector, to be included in the sanctions list.
The leadership of the state Department itself does not mean automatic imposition of sanctions and an offer of the Department to determine persons and entities against whom these sanctions should be entered.
