Green codes from the Matrix turned out to sushi recipes
Designer Simon Whiteley, who took part in the creation of the movie franchise “the Matrix”, told about the origin of the green codes from the screen saver. This writes CNET.

The screensaver “Matrix” is a cascading string of characters of the Japanese alphabets, katakana and hiragana as well as kanji characters and numbers.
