About 450 thousand of Catalans went out on a spontaneous demonstration in Barcelona after the decision of Madrid to remove from office the President of Catalonia Carles Pokdemon and the government of the autonomy. This was announced by city police in his Twitter.
The guards said later that the completion of the action of automobile traffic in the city normalized.
On 21 October, Prime Minister of Spain, Mariano Rajoy enacted article 155 of the Spanish Constitution, which allows to introduce temporary direct control of the authority. He also announced the dissolution of the regional authorities.
