Media: the first lady of Zimbabwe has filed a lawsuit against the jeweller, who gave her a ring
MOSCOW, 19 Jul — RIA Novosti. The wife of Zimbabwe President grace Mugabe filed a lawsuit for the sum of 1.23 million dollars against the jeweller, who gave her a diamond ring, says the Zimbabwe government newspaper the Herald.
It is reported that in April 2015 the President’s wife has ordered the Lebanese jeweler Jamal Joseph Ahmed (Ahmed Jamal Joseph) ring with a diamond weighing 100 carats for $ 1.35 million, fully predoplatu order. The product was supposed to be a gift to first lady on their wedding anniversary. However, as claimed by Mugabe, the jeweler was not able to produce and give the ring the mistress of the house.
“The defendant was offered a ring worth $ 30, for obvious reasons, the plaintiff refused to become the owner of the ring,” reads the lawsuit. It is noted that Ahmed later agreed to return the money, but only paid 120 thousand dollars.
It is noted that Mugabe’s lawyers intend to seek the transfer of a share Ahmed in three local enterprises, and transfer its property in Zimbabwe in the property’s first lady.
