The Kremlin sees no need to talk about the possibility of participation of the oppositionist Alexey Navalny in presidential elections in March 2018. About it the press Secretary head of state Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday, October 18, transfers “Interfax”.
“The position of the CEC is known, there is nothing to discuss”, — he said.
So the representative of the Kremlin has commented on not allowing Navalny to the elections, as 17 October, citing an anonymous source told the “Russian service Bi-bi-si”.
Previously, on 17 October, the CEC Chairman, Ella Pamfilova said that by law, Navalny will run for a criminal record only “somewhere in 2028 plus five months.” “And now for the age? Navalny said that it has the right to be elected to the highest office in 2018, as the Constitution forbids to stand only to those who are in places of imprisonment, and he sentenced conditionally.
