Poll: Russians believe that the school teacher must love his work and be good
However, only few of the respondents said that they would like to see their children and grandchildren teachers.
MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/. The main qualities of a school teacher is kindness, competence and love for the children and their work, according to the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM), published on the website of the organization.
So, 30% of Russians identified among the main qualities of the teacher’s kindness, another 28% believe that a school teacher should be competent, while 26% love their work and children. One in ten (13%) respondents believed that the teacher should be patient and have the qualities of a good psychologist.
However, the Russians believe that teachers lose their respect in society.
“The position of teachers in society the Russians today is estimated at an average of 2.86 points. For comparison, in 2014 and 2.91 points. However, 42% of respondents believe that teachers lose their respect in society (the opposite of say 20%),” — said in the survey data.
