Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the arrest of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in Moscow. The representative of the Kremlin recalled that the involvement of citizens and inconsistent shares is prohibited, reports on Tuesday, October 3, the correspondent of”.ru”.
“You know that calls for unauthorized rallies and events — public appeals are contrary to applicable law. And of course, in making such calls will be prosecuted”, — said Peskov
The decision to arrest Navalny for 20 days adopted October 2, the Simonovsky court of Moscow. The oppositionist was detained in the entrance of his house September 28 “for repeated calls to participate in uncoordinated public event.”
According to Navalny, at the time of arrest he wanted to go to Nizhny Novgorod on uncoordinated action. In September, he held rallies in Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg and Murmansk. Scheduled for October are still a few shares in Russian cities, in particular the 7th of October it is expected to hold the event in St. Petersburg.
