The majority of Russians considered the army capable of providing security for the country
Moscow. 1 Oct. INTERFAX.RU — the Proportion of Russians assessing the state of Affairs in the modern army of the Russian Federation as excellent or good has increased to 56% against 52% in February of this year, said the Fund “Public opinion”.
Negative assessments have become less — 5% to 7% six months ago. A satisfactory situation in the Russian army named 24% of respondents (28% in February). Undecided 15% participants of a survey conducted on September 23 and 24 among 1,500 respondents in 104 settlements of the 53 subjects of the Russian Federation.
In the opinion of the overwhelming majority of respondents (88%), the Russian Armed forces today are able to provide security, 7% believe the opposite.
