The US plan to destroy its chemical weapons until the end of 2023. About the Agency RIA Novosti spoke at the state Department.
“The United States remains committed to the complete destruction of declared chemical weapons stockpiles until the end of 2023,” said the foreign Ministry, commenting on the statement by the Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Washington ignores its obligations in this matter.
The state Department said that the U.S. government continues to focus on the destruction of the remaining part of the chemical weapons in storage in Pueblo (Colorado) and Richmond (Kentucky).
Wednesday, September 27, in Russia was last revised chemical projectile. Thus, the country got rid of almost 39 thousand 967 tons of chemical warfare agents.
The corresponding target program was adopted in 1996. The destruction of chemical weapons was carried out at seven sites — Gornyy (Saratov oblast commissioned in 2002), “Kambarka” (Russia, 2006), “Maradykovsky” (Kirov region, 2006), Leonidovka (Penza oblast, 2008), Shchuchye (Kurgan oblast. 2009), “Pochep” (Bryansk oblast, 2010), “Kizner” (Udmurtiya, 2013).
