The father of a student from the United States revealed details of the status of the son after the conclusion of the DPRK

Otto Wambier

The father of an American student, Otto Bombara, who was convicted in Korea for stealing a poster, and died in USA after being released from prison, told the Fox News channel, as he and his wife met the plane that brought their son home.

According to Fred Wambier, parents saw Otto on a stretcher, he “violently twitched and cried”. Otto was a shaved head, nose inserted feeding tube, “he looked blankly into space, twitching desperately,” said the father.

According to him, the son saw nothing and heard nothing. Parents also noticed that someone defaced his teeth.

According to Fred Wambier, initially they were optimistic and hoped that Otto will be in a state of artificial coma, and later the doctors will find a way to bring him back to life.

“North Korea is not a victim, they are terrorists. They purposefully and intentionally hurt Otto” — said the father.

In June 2017 Wambier in March 2016, sentenced in the DPRK to 15 years in prison for attempting to steal a propaganda poster and was allowed to go home after about a year, died in a hospital in Cincinnati.

Parents argue that their son was subjected to physical abuse by his jailers. Pyongyang said that the condition of the convict worsened after he took a sleeping pill on the background of the discovery he had signs of botulism.
