Australia intends to create its own space Agency
ADELAIDE, Australia, September 25. /TASS/. Australia intends to create a National space Agency. This was announced on Monday by the Australian education Minister Simon Birmingham.
“We intend to establish a National space Agency Australia,” said Birmingham on the opening of the International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide. He said that the new organization will be to explore outer space for peaceful purposes, to engage in the development and implementation of new space technologies.

The national space Agency of Australia plans to cooperate with leading space agencies, including NASA and Roscosmos. The Russian delegation at the largest industry forum in Adelaide is headed by the General Director of Corporation Igor Komarov.
International Astronautical Congress takes place in the eve of the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite (4 October 1957).
