On suspicion of committing a crime detained the head of one of public organizations, the Ministry reported.
MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of forcing the owners of movie theater chains not to show the film directed by Alexei Uchitel “Matilda”.
“Investigation Department of internal Affairs on the Central administrative district of GU MVD of Russia in Moscow opened a criminal case on the fact of coercion of the management of a commercial organization operating in the field of cinema, to the rejection of the demonstration of the film in cinemas under the threat of violence against the audience of a theatre chain and causing harm and damage to owners of theaters,” — said the official representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Irina Wolf. According to her, on suspicion in Commission of this crime detained the head of one of public organizations.
A source in law enforcement said that we are talking about the pressure on cinemas in connection with the screening of the film “Matilda”.
