Studies have estimated that six episodes of excessive alcohol abuse in a month during training in high school reduces the chances of finding a job after graduation by 10 percent.

The chances of finding a job after graduating from higher educational institutions is influenced by many different factors: the prestige of the University and separate educational programs to individual motivation and desire of earnings. On career growth may also be influenced by the factors related to health, such as the use of drugs and alcohol.
The creators of the work conducted a longitudinal study to determine whether alcohol abuse at the University for success in the job search in the future. The study involved 827 American students, each of which provided information about alcohol consumption during training and on the presence or lack of a steady income through the year after graduation.
