The striker club of the National hockey League (NHL) “new Jersey Devils” Brian Boyle diagnosed with cancer. This was reported on the club page on Twitter.

The 32-year-old striker diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia — a cancer of the bone marrow. The disease is detected at an early stage, to treat of the player is planned with the help of medication, without the use of chemotherapy.

The hockey player said he did not intend to suspend the career. “All thoughts are now about the start of the season. Feeling pretty good and plan to continue to live a normal life. I am very grateful to the “new Jersey” for support,” said Boyle.

The American moved to the “new Jersey Devils” in the summer of 2017 and has not yet played for the team a single match. Prior to that, he played for the “Toronto maple leafs”. Last season he played for the club in 21 matches in the regular season and six games in the playoffs, which has not scored any goals and made four assists.
