The author of the monument to Kalashnikov: error with automatic margin
Sculptor Salavat Shcherbakov, who created the monument to Mikhail Kalashnikov, in conversation with the Russian service Bi-bi-si have admitted that the monument could be in error is a diagram of German machine gun “Shturmgevera”. He expressed his willingness to make changes in the composition, if the error is confirmed.

On the eve of the historian Yuri Pasholok on the page in “Facebook” reported that he had noticed on one of the elements of the monument to the famous Soviet gunsmith exploded view drawing of a German gun StG 44.
This scheme is located on the back of the monument, which shows various modifications of the Kalashnikov assault rifle.

The fact that one of the elements of the monument depicts the “Shturmgevera”, affirmed the expert on small arms, the official online representative of the concern “Kalashnikov” Maxim Popenker.
In the work Shcherbakova is not the first time find errors. In 2014, the memorial of his authorship — “Farewell of Slav” at the Belarus station in Moscow — was seen by the German rifle “the Mauser”. Subsequently, a rifle with a monument cut down.
