Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the residents of the unrecognized Lugansk and Donetsk national republics. His words on Tuesday, September 19, the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
“I want to note that, of course, residents of the unrecognized republics DNR and LC, which rejected their country, no one in trouble will not leave”, — said Peskov.
So the representative of the Kremlin responded to the question, are there any plans in the future to transfer social payments to South-Eastern regions of Ukraine from the Russian budget.
Earlier, the representative of the Kremlin has assured that Moscow will not abandon humanitarian aid to residents of Donbass. Commenting on media reports that the government may abandon support of the Ukrainian regions in favor of the Crimea and Kaliningrad, Peskov said that it is only a “redistribution of funds”.
Humanitarian aid to residents of Donbass is from August 2014. The convoy mainly consists of food, water, bedding, medicines and fuel. According to the latest MOE in August 2017, three years, in the Luhansk and Donetsk region sent to 68 convoys, which delivered over 70 thousand tons of humanitarian cargo.
