The hurricane, which left dozens of victims in Romania, moves to Ukraine
In Romania, eight people were killed and 70 taken to hospitals in the hurricane, reaches a place 100 kilometers per hour.
The majority of victims — inhabitants of Timisoara and the surrounding area. Timisoara is the third largest city in Romania, located in the West of the country.
Gusts of wind felled trees and tore roofs of houses. Damaged many power lines and water channels.
“We have not been warned that we are waiting for that. The weather forecast promised rain,” — said the mayor of Timisoara, Nicolae Robu in an interview with Romanian TV station Digi 24.
The emergency services of the country are asking residents not to go outside. According to weather forecasters, in the moment the hurricane is moving in the direction of Ukraine.
