MOSCOW, September 13. /TASS/. The request for stability in the Russian society gave way to a cautious desire for change, this explains the high results of the elections of the acting governors appointed by the President. This opinion was expressed on Wednesday the General Director of the Russian center for public opinion studies (VTSIOM) Valery Fedorov.
“A couple of weeks before the day of voting, I put forward the thesis that the request for stability in Russia was replaced by a request for a change. I’m on the basis of these elections were convinced that this demand for change is really there, but I want to clarify: this is a request for change, but change is evolutionary, gradual change for the better. It is in any case not a revolutionary change, not disruptive to the ground,” said Fedorov on the outcome of the election roundtable at the Fund of development of civil society.
