KRASNODAR, September 11. /TASS/. Members of the selection Commission for the selection of future pilots in the Krasnodar aviaciya, held the first meeting and met with who apply to universities. About this informed the head of staff of the defense Ministry Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin.
“The admissions Committee probably will be very difficult to determine the best of the best. And your decision to link their lives with the flying profession is akin to heroism,” said he, addressing who apply to universities. The desire to enter flight school expressed 214 girls from all over Russia, only 118 of them were admitted to the selection, and only 15 of them were taken away at the end of all tests.
In the composition of the selection Committee, created specifically for the selection of future pilots, became known and honored pilots, among which Deputy of the state Duma, Hero of Soviet Union Nikolay Antoshkin, former air force commander Hero of Russia Vladimir Mikhailov.
Goremykin was reminded that the honorary members of the selection Committee are women-cosmonauts Valentina Tereshkova and Svetlana Savitskaya. In the final phase of the Commission they will communicate with selected who apply to universities.
As reported by the Secretary of the selection Committee Alexander Raklo, today starts the test for admission of girls in the Krasnodar aviaciya. Three day they will pass professional and psychological selection, from 14 to 19 September, passing the medical flight Commission, which will determine the condition and suitability of each pretender to flight operations. 20 September, all applicant will take the entrance test in physical training.
On 23-24 of September, the final meeting of the admissions Commission, which will determine who will enroll in aviaciya.
