Tokyo hopes that the strengthening of confidence in relations with Russia would lead to the conclusion of a peace Treaty, said Tuesday the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.
“I hope that the reinforcement of relations between our countries will eventually lead to a peace Treaty,” Abe said in an interview to the program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on TV channel “Russia-1”.
Abe noted that the strengthening of such trust is a gradual implementation of the Russian-Japanese cooperation in eight areas, it can be seen as example projects in the field of medicine and urban planning.
“Their implementation is possible if these (bilateral) relations will be truly profound… I’m going together with President (Vladimir) Putin and to continue its efforts in this direction”, — said the Prime Minister of Japan.
