The publication was told by sources in the South Korean intelligence. The rocket went West of the country on the morning of 4 September, they said. Presumably, the test will be held September 9 on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK.
Earlier on 4 September it was reported that South Korean intelligence had recorded in Korea, signs of preparation for the next launch of an Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in the Pacific ocean.
On 3 September, the DPRK announced the successful test of a hydrogen warhead, which is designed to equip Intercontinental ballistic missiles. The Ministry of defense of Japan preliminarily estimated the capacity of the tested charge 70 kilotons, several times the power of the atomic bombs dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
