TASS, September 3. The staff of the Consulate General (CG) of the Russian Federation in San Francisco, closed by the US authorities, listed as employees of the Embassy and will remain in that capacity until 1 October. This was reported by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on his page in Facebook on Sunday.
“From 1 September, the Russian side has notified US that all group employees are considered employees of the Embassy, sent to San Francisco. Before October 1 (the date that the state Department has designated as the last day when our staff can live in the residential part of the Consulate) they will be in this quality,” said Zakharov, noting that the former employees of the Consulate General remains diplomatic immunity.
