Putin and XI Jinping exchanged gifts
Moscow. September 3. INTERFAX.RU — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President XI Jinping on Sunday after talks in a narrow format visited an exhibition of Chinese folk art.
The heads of state also exchanged gifts.
The Chinese President gave the Russian leader a sculpture depicting a Chinese warrior in traditional costume, as well as a Desk manual work, on which is written a wish of prosperity. Putin presented to XI Jinping, picture of amber with a picture of a sailboat, as well as table lamps of jade.
After a brief pause to see the exhibition, the leaders continued to exchange views on key bilateral and international issues in the working dinner format.
On Sunday, the Russian President arrived in the Chinese city of Xiamen to attend the BRICS summit.
The ninth summit of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) will be held in China on 3-5 September.
