Moscow in response to the requirement of the US authorities to close the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco can reduce the number of employees of the us diplomatic mission in Russia. This statement was made by Vladimir Jabbarov. The words of the first Deputy head of the international Committee of the Federation Council TV channel “Star”.
“We need to look at the number of employees, if the result of the decision to stop work of our Consulate General will be reduced and the number of staff, it may be a response to reduction of staff of the US diplomatic mission in Russia,” — said dzhabarov.
31 August, the us government demanded Russia to September 2, to close the Consulate General in San Francisco and one diplomatic facility in new York and Washington. About it the Secretary of state Rex Tillerson told the Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
July 28, Moscow has reduced the number of employees of the us diplomatic mission in Russia up to 455 people. Just to 1 September 2017 the number of staff of the US diplomatic mission will be reduced by 755 people. In addition, from 1 August, the us diplomats denied access to the Embassy dacha in Serebryany Bor, and storage areas on a Traffic street in Moscow. In response, the US 23 August imposed restrictions on the issuance of nonimmigrant visas throughout Russia. The procedure will be resumed from 1 September in Moscow.
