The government submitted to the state Duma a bill on the introduction of a fine in the amount of five thousand rubles for dangerous driving. On Friday, November 25, reported on the website of the Cabinet.
The document is aimed at strengthening the responsibility for violation of legislation on road safety and supplements Chapter 12 of the code of administrative offences (Cao) of a new article in 12.38.
The project was reviewed and approved by the government Commission on legislative activities earlier in November.
June 8 in the rules of the road (SDA) introduced a new kind of offence — dangerous driving. The term refers to repeated acts of non-compliance to a safe distance or lateral spacing, hard braking in front of the car, undercutting rebuilding and preventing overtaking.
Previously, drivers were offered to be punished for dangerous driving depending on the individual case — from a fine to withdrawal of driving license and criminal prosecution. First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said that the penalty for dangerous driving should exceed the amount of five thousand rubles.
