Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday will take letters of credence from nineteen new ambassadors of foreign States in the Russian Federation. This ceremony marks the official beginning of work of the head of a foreign diplomatic mission in Russia.
As reported a press-service of the Kremlin on reception to the Russian President invited senior diplomats from Greece, Poland, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Turkmenistan. In addition, the credentials of the Russian head of state will give the ambassadors of New Zealand, the Republic of Burundi, Colombia, Mali, Montenegro, Federal Republic of Somalia. In the Kremlin have also been issued to heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Chad, the Gambia, Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Equatorial Guinea, and also Apostolic Nuncio in the Russian Federation is a diplomatic representative of the Pope.
The ceremony, the President of the credentials of foreign ambassadors are, as a rule, two to three times a year. The last time such an event Putin held on April 20 of this year. The ceremony invited the ambassadors who came to work in Russia in recent months.
Credentials
Credentials – is the symbolic messages from heads of foreign States with a request to trust their representative (hence the name – “credentials”). During the ceremony the President accompanied by the assistant for international Affairs and foreign Minister, in turn, takes the document from each of the diplomats. The head of state addresses the ambassadors with a brief greeting. After the ceremony, the President invited the diplomats for a glass of champagne in honor of the beginning of their work in Moscow.
