In the first round of the presidential elections in Bulgaria, with a slight margin leader, former commander of the air forces of the rumen Radev, reports Reuters with reference to the results of exit polls.

None of the candidates received more than 50 percent of the vote, therefore, next Sunday, November 13, held a second round.

According to the Bulgarian Constitution, the presidential post is mainly ceremonial. The President can affect public opinion, and also with a right of veto in the legislative process.
Radev had previously called for an end to EU sanctions against Russia. Current President Rosen Plevneliev is configured in relation to Russia is critical.
